Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of terms

By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service. If you use the Service on behalf of an organization, you represent that you are authorized to bind it.

2. Your account

• You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age in your jurisdiction) to use the Service.
• You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for all activity under your account.
• You are responsible for the accuracy of the information you enter, including pet health records.
• Notify us promptly of any unauthorized use of your account.

3. Subscriptions & billing

• PawPilot offers a free plan and a paid Premium subscription. The features of each are described on our Pricing page.
• Premium purchased on the web is billed through Stripe on a recurring basis. You authorize us to charge your payment method each period until you cancel.
• Premium purchased through the Apple App Store or Google Play is billed and managed by that store under its terms; manage or cancel those purchases in your device's subscription settings.
• You can cancel anytime. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current paid period; you keep Premium until then. Except where required by law, payments are non-refundable.
• Prices may change. We will give notice of price changes before they apply to you.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for any unlawful, harmful, or fraudulent purpose.
• Upload content you do not have the right to share, or that is abusive, harmful, or infringing.
• Attempt to disrupt, reverse-engineer, or gain unauthorized access to the Service or other users' data.
• Misuse Pilot (our AI copilot) to generate unlawful content or to circumvent usage limits.
• Resell or commercially exploit the Service without our written permission.

5. Your content

You retain ownership of the content you submit. You grant us a limited license to host, process, and display that content solely to operate and improve the Service and to provide the features you use (such as sharing a pet or generating Pilot responses).

6. Not veterinary advice

PawPilot and Pilot provide general informational and organizational tools only. PawPilot is not a substitute for professional veterinary care. Always consult a qualified veterinarian for diagnosis, treatment, and emergencies. Never disregard or delay professional advice because of something you read in the Service.

7. Disclaimers

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure.

8. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, PawPilot and its suppliers will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, profits, or goodwill, arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim will not exceed the greater of the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim or USD $50.

9. Termination

You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time from your Account page. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms or to protect the Service and its users. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination will survive.

10. Changes to the Service or Terms

We may modify the Service or these Terms from time to time. Material changes to the Terms will be notified in-app or by email. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect means you accept the revised Terms.

11. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which PawPilot is established, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules. [Review by counsel — specify governing law and venue before launch.]
